Hoops comes out of Lockdown with a new floor!...
There’s never a good time for a National lockdown, but Hoops made good use of the latest one, using the time to completely refurbish the sports hall floor.
Professional sports hall flooring company MJ Courtmarkers Ltd from Lincoln spent two full weeks completely stripping the floor lacquer and lines before replacing them with new. The sanding process took almost a week, with 3 different grades of abrasives used, firstly to remove the old and then to bring the floor back to a nice smooth playing surface. Once that was complete the basketball show court, two side courts, two netball courts and 8 badminton courts were painstakingly marked out and painted, before the final top coat of lacquer was applied. The end result – a floor that looks like new, an excellent job and something the centre can be proud of. We’ve had some great comments from our users, who of course, benefit from the new floor more than anyone.
